Sunday Online Meditation on The Six Perfections 10-11am – Starting 24 May
Beginning on 24 May, our popular Sunday Morning Meditation will resume at HBC at 10am. A senior student will lead six meditations on each of the six qualities to perfect and transcend – Generosity, Ethics, Patience, Joyous Effort, Concentration and Wisdom.
Under the current COVID-19 restrictions, only 20 people can attend in person. If you would like to attend in person, please send an email to email@example.com. You will receive a reply either confirming your place or not. Only those who have been confirmed will be permitted entry. This will have to be repeated to attend in person each Sunday until restrictions are lifted completely.
Sunday meditation will also be accessible “online”. In order to send you the details to access the online session, we need your email address. Please register using the form below no later than Saturday night. On Sunday morning (around 9am), we will email all registrants the details. The meditation session begins at 10am. We suggest you join the online meeting by 9.45am in order to have time to iron out any technical issues that may arise. You only need to register once to receive the email for each of the 6 weeks.
We will be using Zoom as our online meeting platform. More information on this platform is provided on this page below the registration form.

Zoom Online Meeting Platform
Zoom is a popular platform that facilitates an online meeting of a large number of people. Hayagriva Buddhist Centre plans to use Zoom to offer participation in meditations, pujas and practices guided by one of our senior students/practitioners. Zoom is easy to setup and can be used on all kinds of computers, tablets and smart phones. Preferably your device is equipped with video (camera) and audio (microphone and speakers or headphones/earbuds).
When you register (using the form above), your email address will be added to a list of persons who wishes to join the online session. On the day of the session you will receive an email about one hour before it is scheduled to start. This email will contain all the details you need to participate.
On a computer (notebook or desktop) you can join the session using any modern browser (e.g. Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Edge, etc.) connected to the Internet. When you receive the email it will contain a link. Use the link provided in the email message (either by clicking on the link itself or by copying the link and pasting it in the “address” bar of your browser). Upon joining a Zoom session for the first time you will prompted to install an application called “Zoom Client for Meetings”. Follow the instructions. This should only be necessary the first time you use Zoom. During the installation, you will be prompted to “Join with Video” and to “Join with Audio”. We recommend you agree to both but as a minimum, you should “Join with Audio” to be able to hear the session. If you also “Join with Video”, your camera will be activated and your face will appear to others on the session. You can optionally turn off your camera once you have joined the session.
To join using a a tablet or smart phone, you will need to install the free “Zoom Cloud Meeting” App. This App is available free from the “Play Store” on Android devices and free from the Apple App Store on Apple devices. Please install the App in advance as it can take a few minutes to download and configure. Start the App on your device. You will then be prompted to enter the name of the “Meeting” which you can find on the email.
